Chopsticks has been awarded The Duke of York's Community Initiative Higher Award 2005 for its achievements in the community. It follows a visit by the Duke of York Award assessors to the workshop to assess the work it has been involved with since forming in 1995. The privilege comes three years after Chopsticks was given the Award in 2002.
HRH The Duke of York’s Community Initiative award recognises excellence in community projects in Yorkshire and aims to encourage the widest development of high quality Community Spirit. Projects must be owned by the community it serves and demonstrate success in improving quality of life and sense of community.
