Meet the staff team

Supportive, practical and always on the go.

We’re a small but committed team working behind the scenes to keep Chopsticks running day to day. You’ll find us supporting members in the workshops, sorting timber, operating machinery (and sometimes fixing it), helping with admin and everything in between.

We’re here to create structure, keep things safe and make sure our members feel confident, supported and part of something that matters. Whether it’s someone’s first day or their tenth year we take everyone as we find them and help them grow.

What we do day to day

Our staff team supports members with:

  • Setting up safe, structured workspaces

  • Encouraging confidence, purpose and routine

  • Building skills in woodwork, gardening and teamwork

  • Preparing kindling, crafts and furniture for sale

  • Organising events, placements and community visits

  • Making Chopsticks a welcoming place for everyone

Volunteer support

Alongside staff, we’re lucky to have some brilliant volunteers who give their time and skills to help members thrive. From sanding wood, helping in our ChopShed area or packing sticks, their support makes a huge difference.
