December 2025 Newsletter
A Look Back at 2025 – What a Year for Chopsticks!
What a busy and fun‑filled year 2025 has been for everyone here at Chopsticks! From staff changes to bustling workshop days and a packed gardening season, it’s been a year full of activity, growth, and great memories.
We started the year by wishing a fond farewell to Jan, who headed into a well‑deserved retirement after many dedicated years with us.
Our gardening team jumped straight into one of their busiest seasons yet, taking on countless grass‑cutting and garden‑clearance jobs across the community.
Meanwhile, the workshop and Chopshed were buzzing with creativity. Members kept busy making kindling, crafting unique wooden pieces, and producing a whole range of exciting personalised items in the laser room—one of our most popular areas this year!
We were delighted to welcome Tasha back from maternity leave after spending precious time with her beautiful baby girl. We also said goodbye to Jacob, who moved home to begin a new adventure.
Later in the year, we wished Henry all the best as he set off to university. We’re incredibly proud to have been part of each person’s journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
This year also brought sadness as we said a final and heartfelt goodbye to Robert, who sadly passed away. He will be greatly missed by everyone here at Chopsticks.
December also brought an exciting milestone as we launched our brand-new website and online shop. This has been a huge step forward for us, making it easier than ever for people to discover what we do and purchase our handmade products.
A big thank you goes to Dawn Proud for the many hours of hard work, dedication, and care she put into making the new site a reality. We couldn’t have done it without her!
As we wrap up 2025, we’re grateful for another year filled with teamwork, creativity, and community spirit.
