September 2026 Newsletter
September wraps up the grass-cutting season, and what a great year it has been! We've been fortunate to have the weather on our side, meaning the season has run fairly smoothly and we haven't been rained off too many times.
As one season ends, another begins... delivery season!
We have now started our annual rounds of deliveries to our stockists, making sure they are fully stocked and ready to meet all your kindling needs in the months ahead.
If you're looking for our sticks, check out where you can find your nearest stockist, or why not pay us a visit at our workshop on Thurston Road? We'd love to see you.

We've been busy sprucing up the outside of the building. Luke did a fantastic job digging out the old planters at the front, ready for them to be replaced with some new ones.
We'd also like to say a big thank you to our lovely friends over the road at Allerton Steel, who kindly came and cleared our guttering for us. Their help is greatly appreciated and has made a real difference to keeping the building looking its best. Our members really enjoyed watching the work being carried out, especially seeing the cherry picker in action!
It's great to see everyone getting involved and taking pride in our surroundings, helping to keep Chopsticks a welcoming place for all.
McDonalds Trip!
We enjoyed a cheeky little Friday trip to McDonald's for lunch! All of our members thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and some of the members who don't usually attend on a Friday joined us for the outing too.
To make the trip even more special, we treated everyone to a McFlurry afterwards, which went down a treat! 🍦
Oreo's Corner 🐾
This boy has been causing mayhem in the office this month! Oreo has been keeping everyone on their toes by walking across keyboards, deleting work, and even trying to send the occasional blank email.
He seems to think he's very busy helping in the office, but we're not quite sure how much work he's actually getting done. He's certainly trying his best to earn his keep.
A Workshop That Never Stops
While we don't often mention it in our newsletters, our workshop is busy like clockwork all year round producing the high-quality bags of kindling that so many of you love. Our members are continually learning and developing new skills while helping to create a product that we have perfected over many years. They are involved in every stage of the process, from start to finish, and take great pride in their work.
If you'd like a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on in the workshop, the video on our homepage offers a glimpse into the dedication and hard work involved.
